On the Eve of World Population Day JNIBM VU Alumni Kamini Pal, Canopus Inspection & Technical Associate Pte Ltd. Singapore was Greeted and Welcomed by Dr.Nayantara and Director Prof.Dr.Mehta.On the Eve of 11th July, World Population Day, She also participated in the Group discussion on the Demographic Issues and Challenges before the Indian & Singapore economies. Deliberations covered several demographic, statistical, and economic issues affecting population and development economics-related challenges.

Dr.Dharmendra Mehta explained the evolution of World Population Day as an annual event observed every year on the 11th of July to spread awareness about the increasing population and its impact on society, nations, and the environment and educate the public to control it. Dr.Mehta said that The United Nations established World Population Day in 1989. Dr. KC Zachariah proposed the initiative to mark the day when the global population reached five billion on July 11, 1987. World Population Day was first celebrated on 11 July 1990 in more than 90 countries. On this occasion, JNIBM Faculty Dr.Nayantara said it was an Honour for all of us to welcome Mrs. Pal from Singapore to the VU Campus and learn the success sutras of a Small but Sustainable development economy like Singapore.
